Over the summer, two CUOC runners ran for GB in world championships. Mairead Rocke, who graduated this summer, represented the UK at the World Universities Orienteering Championships in Alicante, Spain. Mairead had good runs in challenging terrain, coming 44th on the long course. Results along with PDFs of the maps and courses used can be found on the University of Alicante website.
Meanwhile, fresher-becoming-second-year Katrin Harding was running for Great Britain at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Košice, Slovakia. Katrin ran well in every discipline, but her best result was probably in the long distance race, where she came 64th (out of over 140). Full results are available here.
