The other main item of business at the AGM was the award of Life Membership to Dr. Chris Morley and to Dr. Chris Thorne. These two doyens of Cambridge orienteering have been members of CUOC since 1978 and 1977 respectively…that's right, since before most of you were born.
They have each served as the club's Senior Treasurer for many years, provided countless rides to races, and given up countless hours helping with the organisation of the Icenian. They've organised club dinners, the club's stores, insurance, archives and myriad other things behind the scenes. Most deserving of the honour - and our gratitude - I'd say.
