A protest about a disqualification on Course 3 for crossing an uncrossable feature was made on the basis that the red line obscured important detail. A post-event jury consisting of Jenny Collier, Graham Louth and Bruce Marshall has considered and rejected this protest. It was the unanimous view of the jury that while the red line should have been cut, there was sufficient information on the map to allow the uncrossable designation to be seen.
The controller also considered a request to void the legs affected by this. On the same basis, this request has been rejected. The controller would , however, like to express his apologies for his error in not ensuring that the line was cut.
The results, therefore, stand as published.
