Organiser's comments: Thanks to everyone for turning up on a cold, wet and miserable day. Hopefully, the sheer quality of the terrain and courses made up for the weather. Unfortunately, we made the classic mistake of putting out one of the controls in the wrong place (control 14 on the Men's A, Knoll N. side, was on an unmapped knoll 30m to the NE of the correct knoll. Fortunately, the margin of Cambridge's victory was such that it didn't affect the outcome. In the spirit of the sport we're letting the result stand... The social seemed to go well. Our thanks to Longdon village hall, Jacques and his Bain-Marie, and of course Dodgy Dave's fabulous "jumping" Disco. The beer race was an overwhelming victory for JOK with Cambridge just edging out Oxford for last place. The rain finally stopped in time for the "fun" relays on Sunday. The winners were Viv Kaye, Andu Hodgson and Piers (?). A special mention to Fiona Smart, Nick Barrable and Rik Pearson who would have won had we not harshly disqualified Fiona for running her course backwards... Lucy Partridge & Tim Wiegand (DrongO)
